Colleen McLenigan began her dance training at the David Demarie Dance Studio at the age of 3. She went on to compete on a national level with the DDD competition team for nine years. Colleen received her B.F.A. in dance from the University at Buffalo. There, she studied under Tom Ralabate, Tracy Navarro, Michael Lambert, Jenna DelMonte, Naila Ansari and Kerry Ring. During her time at the university, she was a member of the prestigious Zodiaque Dance Company. Among other choreographic opportunities, Colleen was selected to choreograph for the program’s Emerging Choreographer’s Showcase and was given the opportunity to work with the members of the Infinity Dance Project and set choreography for their winter showcase.
Colleen has also studied under Jon Lehrer of Lehrerdance and has taken residency classes ftom Rioult Dance Company, Koresh Dance Company and Dorrance Dance Company. She has also worked with master teachers such as Skylar Boykin, Channing Cooke, Ginger Cox, Ali Dietz, and Tiger Martina, to name a few.
